Along with German families, migrants and refugees participate in the joint St.Martin’s procession in Frankfurt, Nov. 11. Processions take place each year mainly in the catholic areas of Germany. November 11 is the feast day of St. Martin of Tours (France), who started out as a Roman soldier and later became a monk. In one legend about his life he once cut his cloak in half and shared it with a beggar during a snowstorm.
