No Snow
Gray clouds over a tree at the Wasserkuppe mountain, at 950 m (3,120 ft) the highest elevation in the federal state of Hessen. At this time of the year, there usually is a lot of snow – but not now.

Same Pattern
A five day-old giraffe named Katja and its mother at a zoo in Kronberg, just outside Frankfurt, Jan.7. It is actually a Rothschild’s giraffe (Giraffa camelopardalis rothschildi), considered one of the most endangered subspecies. They usually live in very few locations in Uganda.
