Sun comes up behind Frankfurt’s main railway station, May 5, after German train engine drivers downed their tools in the current wage bargaining and went on a six-day strike – the longest in the history of German railways. -
A pun with a snail
This morning, I found this snail crawling up the tailgate of my tiny car in its endeavor to find food and shelter (it didn’t have the car keys, thankfully). I took it off and put it into the grass where I guess it belongs. -

The ‘Walberlafest’ can be traced back to 9th century May celebrations on this site with its stunning view (and its strange name) that was already populated in the Bronze Age. -
