Staedel Museum Celebrates
A tuba player of the HR Symphonieorchster (Frankfurt Radio Symphony Orchestra) gets ready for playing in front of Gerhard Richter’s 1967 painting named “Großer Vorhang” (Big Curtain) during a ceremony marking the 200th anniversary of Frankfurt’s renowned Staedel museum, March 15. A grand public celebration was held with a diverse program and free admission for everyone. -
Real Joy
Frankfurt’s Paraguayan player Nelson Valdez jubilates after scoring the 4-0 in a German first division soccer match Eintracht Frankfurt vs SC Paderborn 07, Mar. 14, only minutes after making his return following a six-month injury absence. He of course received the yellow card for taking his shirt off in celebration – undressing is not allowed during the match, although highly recomended afterwards. -

The gold medal won by Bärbel Wöckel in the 200-meter dash at the 1980 Olympic Games in Moscow, photographed at the home of the former (East) German athlete in Breitenbrunn, Odenwald region, some 70 kms (42 mls) south of Frankfurt, March 11.
