Poor Teddy!
A teddy bear, lost by a toddler or a baby, rests on the post of a fence after nightfall at a trail near Friedrichsdorf, a town some 15 kms (9 mls) outside Frankfurt, Nov. 11. A five day-old giraffe named Katja and its mother at a zoo in Kronberg, just outside Frankfurt, Jan.7. It is actually a Rothschild’s giraffe (Giraffa camelopardalis rothschildi), considered one of the most endangered subspecies. They usually live in very few locations in Uganda.
