Climate activists, some of them dressed up as aliens, during a rally in Frankfurt, Nov 29, on the occasion of the United Nations Climate Change Conference in Paris. During the ‘Global Climate March’ people around the world come together for two weeks of action calling for climate justice and an end to carbon pollution.

A bee in search for pollen among crocuses at Frankfurt’s Lohrberg hill, Feb. 16.. Winter in this part of Germany has been unusually mild so far and bees are swarming out very early.

Signs of Spring
Snowdrops in the evening light in a garden in my neighborhood, Feb.9. These are about the first signs of spring – although there hasn’t been any real winter here yet.
