Apples that so far survived the rather mild winter hang on a tree at Frankfurt’s northern Bergen district, Feb.18. I tried one and have to say that they are still quite tasty. I love apples (well, and bananas…).

Frankfurt’s Fair Tower (Messeturm), seen through the branches of a tree (and from my balcony :-)) at sunset, Nov.11. Between 1991 and 1997, the 256 meter-high (840 ft) tower was the highest office building in Europe, which now I believe is the Mercury City Tower in Moscow (338 meters, 1110 ft).
