Workers clean the big Euro sculpture in front of the former European Central Bank headquarters in Frankfurt, July 9. The sculpture is being given its first overhaul after 13 years, coinciding with the aftermath of the Greek referendum that might lead to the first exit of a country from the 19-nation currency.

Police block a street near the new headquarters of the European Central Bank (ECB) in Frankfurt, Mar. 17, one day before the building will officially be inaugurated. The event is expected to draw some 10,000 anti-austerity protesters, mainly being part of the Blockupy alliance. Thousands of police officers will oversee the event.
