Frankfurt artists Rainer Michel, a musician and composer of film music, and Pei Li, a fashion designer and painter, today opened a little shop named ‘Korridor’ at Frankfurt’s Sachsenhausen district (Feb.21), where Li’s dresses and Michel’s rare and bizarre instrument are on display.

The old statue of a dock worker at Frankfurt’s Friedensbrücke (peace bridge) sports a freshly knitted outfit including Muppet Show character Kermit the frog ( some may remember…), early in the morning, Jan. 4. The statue is almost regularly clothed by unknown yarn bombers.

A member of a group that re-enacts ancient Roman life wears replicas of legionaires’ boots and talks to friends holding shields at the Saalburg castellum near Bad Homburg, north of Frankfurt, Oct.16. The Saalburg was reconstructed about a hunderd years ago at the original site of a castellum on the limes that marked the ancient border between the Roman empire and the territory of the Germanic tribes.
