The full moon behind a veil of clouds over Frankfurt, Dec.17. This is actually an HDR image created out of five different exposures using the Photomatix software.

The full moon over a power pole on a field at Frankfurt’s Bergen district, Dec. 15, on the eve of my birthday 🙂

Couldn’t resist to shoot this one with the half moon over Frankfurt this morning, Aug.29.

The moon behind a veil of mist over Main river with an illuminated bridge in Frankfurt at , Aug.22. The new building of the European Central Bank is at left. Unfortunately, the bridge was shaking slightly due to traffic and the camera was only sitting on the railing (wasn’t carrying a tripod to the pub yesterday…).

The half moon in the night sky over Frankfurt, Aug. 15.

A Lufthansa Boeing 747 passes the full moon over Frankfurt, June 22. This weekend, the moon makes its closest approach to the Earth of the year. What you need for a photo like this is a long lens, a lot of patience, a lot of luck, a balcony in the right place and a beer. Cheers!
