Biologist Marion Ebel rests together with artic wolfverine Ayla at a wildlife park in Hanau, east of Frankfurt, Aug.3. Ayla was badly injured at the neck in territorial fights with fellow wolves inside their enclosure a couple of days ago. Her brother (named Scott) is still in critical condition.

A raindrop hits a wet surface on my balcony in Frankfurt, July 29. (Taken at about a 2000th of a second with a 300mm telephoto lens.)
