Canoeing on the Lahn
Three people in a canoe on Lahn river near Weilburg, some 65 kms (40 mls) north of Frankfurt, Aug.25. According to a local tourism board ‘a canoe trip on the Lahn River is one of the most relaxing ways to enjoy the Mittelhessen [the central part of the federal state of Hesse] countryside’ which is probably true. -
Twisted City

Bamberg Cathedral
The sun behind the cathedral of Bamberg (‘Bamberger Dom’), northern Bavaria, Aug.14. The catholic church was completed in the 13th century and has been part of the Bamberg UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1993.
