Runkel
The outline of Runkel castle on Lahn river, April 24. It was first mentioned in documents in the year 1159. The photo was talken from the old bridge that was built in 1448.
Castle Outline
The outlines of Braunfels (“Brown Rock”) castle are visible in front of a sunset sky above the town of Braunfels (named after the castle), some 70 kms (42 mls) north of Frankfurt, Dec.16. The castle dates back to the 13th century and quite some building work was done over the centuries.
A Night in the Woods
A starry night in the Taunus mountains, just a few kilometers north of Frankfurt, Sep.6. From time to time I pack my sleeping bag, do some hiking and sleep out in the woods with just the trees and the stars above me. That may sound a bit romantic – and it really is!
