Fair Tower
Frankfurt’s Fair Tower (Messeturm), seen through the branches of a tree (and from my balcony :-)) at sunset, Nov.11. Between 1991 and 1997, the 256 meter-high (840 ft) tower was the highest office building in Europe, which now I believe is the Mercury City Tower in Moscow (338 meters, 1110 ft).

Church for Sale
The Matthäuskirche (St. Mattews Church) among highrise buildings in Frankfurt, Aug.30. The building has been up for demolition and sale in a disputed decision by church authorities since 2002, but no investor has been found since. Latest plans see the church not pulled down but integrated in a new complex of buildings.
