Geese on a meadow in Oberursel near Frankfurt, Oct.5. St. Martin’s day on 11th November is the day when Martin of Tours is remembered, a saint of the Catholic Church. Eating a St. Martin’s goose dinner is a widely spread tradition in Germany. Thus it is quite unlikely that the geese in this picture will survive the next week.
