A grand public celebration was held with a diverse program and free admission for everyone.

100 Years Old
Dagmar Westberg stands beside a painting named “Saint James the Greater” (1615) by Jusepe de Ribera at Frankfurt’s Städel museum, Dec.4. The philanthropist turns 100 years old on Dec.8 and on the occasion donates the (very) valuable painting to the museum.

A diorama featuring African animals at the Hessisches Landesmuseum in Darmstadt south of Frankfurt, Sep.10. After 7 years of renovation, the multidisciplinary museum is to reopen in the next days. -
