Celtic Museum
The Glauburg museum, some 35 kms (21 mls) northeast of Frankfurt, the center of an archaeological park on the site of a Celtic settlement dating back to the 5th century BC (Photo taken Aug.4). The museum was opened in 2009, a few years after the spectacular excavation of a sandstone statue of the so-called ‘Celtic Prince’ that is on display inside.
Stupidly, I forgot that the museum is closed on Mondays…

When Egypt, Greece and Rome blossomed during the 2nd and 1st millenium BC the Nok culture (1500 to 0 BC) existed in West Africa in what is now Nigeria.
