Frankfurt artists Rainer Michel, a musician and composer of film music, and Pei Li, a fashion designer and painter, today opened a little shop named ‘Korridor’ at Frankfurt’s Sachsenhausen district (Feb.21), where Li’s dresses and Michel’s rare and bizarre instrument are on display. -
The Old Opera House

Frankfurt’s Alte Oper (Old Opera House), built between 1873 and 1880, is seen from above on a gray and hazy day, Feb.12. In 1937, Carl Orff’s Carmina Burana was performed here for the first time. The building was almost completely destroyed by allied bombs in 1944. In the 1970s it was slowly rebuilt and eventually reopened in 1981. Alte Oper is now a concert hall. -
