Carnival Group Shot

Carnivalists in their fancy mock uniforms put their heads together for a group shot in Mainz, a city some 40 kms (24 mls) west of Frankfurt, on New Year’s Day to mark the beginning of this year’s street carnival season. Mainz is one of the carnival hotspots in Germany.
